Starting and running a fashion boutique is harder than it looks. Experience all the joys and heart aches that come with being in the fashion retail business with Fashion Story, in this game you choose a clothing shop that originally starts as a little store and as you progress through this experience your little store grows from a lil trendy store to a huge retailer caring all the top brands and hit fashions. I really liked the pace of this game, once you get started you are always go go go trying to keep up on popular demand and everything else, this kept me hocked while I was playing because there never seemed to be a dull moment. There is also a leveling system included in the game which just adds to the overall experience of the game because you will feel that all your hard work was not in vain. Some of the things I did not like about the game were the fact that if you put a order in for some clothes that would take two hours to get and if you were not playing the game within 15 minutes of receiving said order it would expire and you would not get any of your merchandise that you waited 2 hours for. That was a little lame but not a deal breaker. This game would generate broader appeal if it showcased men's clothes. I know this game was probably marketed specifically for younger girls but in my mind if you want to make a good game about fashions and such you need to add the entire spectrum to add a bit of realism. Overall I felt this was a fun game that is a complete experience but could use a little fine tuning.

Rage of the Immortals

Well folks we have here yet another game that demonstrates why we cannot believe in other people. Rage of the Immortals is yet another game like Brave Frontier; I find this is a common trend on the app store. One game will put out something neat and new and it will blow up, then everyone and their mother start making these experiences that mimic exactly what the original did except a different art style and story. We first saw this with Angry Birds, then Flappy Bird. When I first saw this game I thought that it may be a cool experience that combined Brave Frontier and Street Fighter/ Mortal Combat into a fun and unique experience. Yet again I feel mislead this game has the art work and everything that would point to a beat’em up game but alas this is not the case. Like in Ghost Guild this game stripes all the controls from the gamer and simulates al the fights for which is totally lame, I honestly am getting tired of games stealing user control. The only real good thing that this game does is it gives you a bit of a sandbox mode, where you are constantly making your base of operations bigger and better. Apart from that this games falls flat and gamers can honestly spend their time elsewhere, do yourself a favour and stay away from this game.

Record Run

Run through the grove world with Record Run from Harmonix. Record Run you play as a punk rocker hipster dude, once you leave the record store a truck almost hits you and you lose all your records. So what do you do? You take to the streets collecting all your lost records while rocking out to tunes within the game or tunes from your personal library. This was a highlight for me because it was a blast running through the streets rocking out to my tunes. The game itself is a combination of temple fun and the impossible game. One aspect that I liked is once you filled your multiplier the world around you would get groovy and dance to the song that was playing. I had fun with this game but I still think it is far from perfect. One issue that I had was the angle that you look at the character. You look at your dude on an angle, I found this confusing because if there was a sequence of obstacles it was sometimes hard to tell if dodged them or hit them. Second part of this game that could us fine tuning is the controls it was sometimes unresponsive. This was a drag because if you were on a good run and the game did not register a direction it would be game over. A bit of a drag but an easy update will be able to fix this problem. Overall a decent game that utilises your music to the fullest.
